Google Ads Management Agency — PPC Built Around Leads, Not Clicks
We build and run Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns that are measured on enquiries and cost per lead, in an account you own, with fees you can see before you sign anything.
Vimana Digital is a Google Ads management agency in Long Eaton, Nottingham, running Search, Shopping, Performance Max and Microsoft Ads campaigns for UK businesses. Campaigns go live within a week, every call and form is tracked to its keyword, and you keep ownership of the ad account. Fees follow a flat or percentage model.
What our PPC management covers
Pay-per-click (PPC) means you pay each time someone clicks your ad. Google offers several campaign types and each suits a different job:
Google Searchtext ads shown when someone types "emergency electrician near me" or "commercial conveyancing solicitor". Highest intent, highest cost per click, fastest route to leads.
Performance MaxGoogle's automated campaign type that places ads across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Gmail and Maps from one set of assets. Useful once you have conversion data; risky before.
Remarketing on Display and YouTubefollows people who visited but didn't enquire. Cheap per click; the first thing we add once Search works.
Microsoft Ads (Bing)the same search campaigns imported to Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo. See Section 5.
Facebook, Instagram and TikTok advertising run under separate plans: see Meta Ads and TikTok Ads. Not sure which platform fits? Our digital marketing page has a decision table.
How much do Google Ads cost in the UK?
Nobody can tell you your cost per click before the campaign runs, but published benchmarks give a realistic starting range. The most-cited dataset is LocaliQ and WordStream's annual search advertising benchmarks (updated 1 June 2026), which are US-weighted and in dollars, so treat them as relative, not absolute. UK vendor estimates are shown alongside.
All industries
£1.95 average Search CPC (Whito, Q1 2026) [VERIFY]
Source: LocaliQ, search advertising benchmarks, updated 1 June 2026; UK figures from Whito (Q1 2026) and Cloudswitched, both agency estimates rather than independent surveys.
Two things the table tells you.
Legal is the expensive end
A solicitor paying £8 a click with a 5.5% conversion rate spends around £145 per enquiry before any fee. That is why Google Ads works best for law firms alongside SEO for solicitors: the organic lead is the cheap one.
Conversion rate matters more than click price
Doubling the conversion rate halves the cost per lead; shaving 10% off the CPC barely moves it. Landing pages and tracking are where we spend our first week.
Spend £1,000 a month on Search in a trade with a £2 average CPC and you buy roughly 500 clicks. At the all-industry 8% conversion rate that's about 40 enquiries at £25 each. At 4%, common when the landing page is the homepage, it's 20 enquiries at £50 each. Same spend, double the cost per lead. That gap is the job.
Is Microsoft Ads worth adding?
Bing holds roughly 5% of UK search, with Google at 91–92% (StatCounter, 2026 snapshots). Five per cent sounds like nothing, but much of it comes from Windows machines where Bing is the default search engine, and fewer advertisers compete for those clicks, so they are often cheaper. Our approach: import the Google campaigns on a small share of budget and switch them off if they haven't earned their keep in 60 days.
How do PPC agencies charge, and how do we?

How a Google Ads campaign goes live
7
Monthly report, 90-day review
1Account review and goalDirect sales, enquiries or awareness? We agree one target number, usually cost per enquiry, before anything is built.
2Tracking firstCall tracking, form tracking and GA4 (Google Analytics 4) set up and tested before a penny is spent.
3Keyword researchWe pull the search terms people actually use, group them by intent and build negative keyword lists so you don't pay for "jobs", "free" or "DIY" searches.
4Build and landing pagesCampaigns, ad groups, responsive search ads, extensions and, where needed, a dedicated landing page. We design websites too, so the page is built for the ad rather than borrowed from the homepage.
5Live within a weekOf your initial enquiry.
6The learning phaseGoogle's bidding needs around 2–4 weeks and a few dozen conversions to settle. We hold bids steady, prune search terms daily and resist redesigning everything on day three.
7Monthly report, 90-day reviewSpend, enquiries, cost per enquiry, what we changed and why. At 90 days we decide together whether to scale, change course or stop.
What we track, so "it's working" is a number
Phone callsdynamic call tracking numbers that show which keyword prompted the call, with call length so a 10-second wrong number doesn't count as a lead
Form submissionseach form tracked as a separate conversion, with spam filtered out
Offline conversionsif your CRM records which enquiries became jobs, we feed that back to Google so bidding chases customers, not form-fillers
GA4 and Search Console togetherso paid and organic sit in one report and we can see where ads are cannibalising free clicks
Consent Modevisitors who reject cookies still count in modelled totals rather than vanishing
Is your website ready for paid traffic?
Google scores every keyword–ad–page combination out of ten. This Quality Score reflects expected click-through rate, ad relevance and landing-page experience, and a higher score lowers what you pay for the same position. A page that loads fast on a phone, repeats the search phrase in the heading, shows a price or clear next step and has a form above the fold cuts cost per lead more than any bidding trick.
If your site can't do that, we'll say so before you spend. We build small-business websites from around £1,000; a single landing page is a smaller job. Prices exclude VAT.
Advertiser verification and the rules tightening in 2026
Google advertiser verification is now routineexpect to supply company registration details and, for some sectors, proof of authorisation before ads run. Financial services advertisers targeting the UK must show FCA authorisation or an exemption.
Online Safety Act fraudulent-advertising codesOfcom opened a consultation on 10 July 2026 on around 40 measures for the largest platforms, including advertiser identity checks, FCA checks for financial advertisers and scam-advertiser bans, with fines up to £18m or 10% of global revenue (Wiggin; RPC, 2026). Expect stricter checks on every platform.
ASA and CAP Code"Cheapest", "guaranteed" and "no. 1" claims need substantiation. We write ads we can defend, and we access your account through Google's Manager Account rather than a shared login.

What we can show is the landing-page side: Glass Verandas UK (built to turn national searches into enquiries, with guide prices on the page) and Bradgate Financial Solutions (regulated financial services). Both are web design and SEO projects, not paid-media results. See all case studies.

How much should I budget for Google Ads per month?
Enough to buy around 100 clicks a month in your sector, which is the minimum for Google's bidding to learn. At a £2 cost per click that's £200–£300; for legal or finance at £8–£10 a click it's £1,000 or more. Many UK agencies won't manage accounts under about £500 a month in spend.
What is a good cost per lead on Google Ads?
Across all industries the 2026 benchmark is about $67 per lead, with legal at $132 and home improvement at $91 (LocaliQ, June 2026, US-weighted). "Good" is relative to what a customer is worth to you: £145 per enquiry is fine for a conveyancing instruction and ruinous for a £40 service.
How do PPC agencies charge?
Most UK agencies charge 10–20% of ad spend or a flat £300–£2,000 a month, sometimes with a £300–£1,500 setup fee (Advertizingly, Whito, 2026). Whatever the model, insist that you own the account and there is no mark-up on spend.
Who owns the Google Ads account, me or the agency?
You should, always. The account is set up in your business's name and billed to your card; we manage it through our agency access and can be removed in two clicks . An agency that insists on owning the account is keeping your conversion history as a bargaining chip for when you try to leave.
Do agencies mark up ad spend?
Some do, quietly, by invoicing a "media" line above what Google charged. We don't : Google bills you directly and our management fee is the only invoice from us. Ask any agency for the Google Ads billing statement alongside their invoice if you're unsure.
How do you track phone calls and form fills from ads?
Call tracking swaps the phone number on your site for visitors who arrived from an ad, so each call is matched to its keyword and the call length is recorded. Forms fire a conversion on submission. Both land in Google Ads and GA4, and the monthly report shows enquiries and cost per enquiry rather than clicks.
Is it worth hiring a Google Ads agency for a small budget?
Sometimes not, and we'll say so. Under about £500 a month in spend, a 15% fee is £75, which barely covers an hour's work; a flat fee can cost more than the ads. For small budgets we'd rather fix tracking and the landing page, build the account properly and hand it over, then review quarterly .
Google Ads or Facebook ads for a local service business?
Google Ads first, almost always. Someone searching "blocked drain Nottingham" needs you today; someone scrolling Facebook doesn't. Meta is cheaper per click and better for awareness, offers and retargeting people who already visited. Most local businesses run Search first, then add Meta Ads once the cost per lead is known.
