The brief
Why Equity Release Mortgage came to us
Vimana Digital designed and built a responsive, compliant website for Equity Release Mortgage, a Leicestershire financial services business. We had full creative control of design and development and wrote all the copy ourselves. The site presents each service clearly, uses imagery the client owns outright, and was planned from the start around competitor research for a national SEO campaign.
Equity release is a regulated financial product, so the words matter as much as the design. The client came to us because we already had experience with financial services businesses and understood financial compliance in copywriting.
The brief was a contemporary, responsive website that works on phones and tablets, is easy to navigate and highlights every service clearly. Beyond that, they handed us complete creative freedom: design, development and the whole copywriting job.
One requirement shaped the rest. Equity Release Mortgage wanted a strong national SEO campaign, not just visibility in Leicestershire, so the page plan had to be built with search in mind before anything was designed.
How we did it
How we did it
01
Framework first
We set out the number of services and pages required before any design work began.
02
Competitor analysis
Because the client wanted a national SEO campaign, we studied the competition before writing a word.
03
Copywriting from scratch
Our clients often struggle to find time to write fresh content. Here the client also needed someone who understood compliance, so we wrote every page.
04
Design tweaks and launch
We refined the layout so every service, and the route to an enquiry, is easy to see.
What we built
What we built
- A responsive website with each service clearly displayed, so customers can find and enquire about the one they need
- All copywriting, written with financial compliance in mind and an SEO perspective on every page
- A mix of graphic design and AI-generated imagery, so Equity Release Mortgage owns every image with no stock-licence requirements
- A colour palette taken directly from the client's logo
- A design built to last, keeping the need for major future changes to a minimum

Can you write the copy for a regulated financial services website?
Yes. We wrote every page of the Equity Release Mortgage website, and the client chose us partly because we understand financial compliance. We write plainly, keep product descriptions factual and write with SEO in mind, so the copy works for both customers and search engines.
How much does a financial services website cost?
A small business website starts from around £1,000, and a medium to large site typically sits in the £3,000–£6,000 range depending on page count and copywriting. Complex or bespoke builds start from £5,000+. Hosting is from £120 a year with SSL included. Prices exclude VAT. We quote after understanding your services.
Can a small business rank nationally for equity release?
It is competitive, and nobody can honestly guarantee rankings. What helps is planning the site for search before design starts, as we did here with competitor analysis and a clear page per service. National SEO campaigns with us typically cost £1,000–£4,000 a month, depending on competition and scope.
