The brief
A clear brief and complete creative freedom
Vimana Digital designed and built a contemporary, responsive brochure website for Excel Process Systems Ltd, an industrial manufacturer in Derby. Every service has its own page, which helps each one rank for its specific search terms. Vimana wrote most of the copy, Excel supplied the imagery, and the colour palette follows the company's logo and vehicle colours.
Excel Process Systems needed a website that made navigation easy, looked modern, and highlighted each service it provides. It also had to work properly on mobile phones and tablets.
Excel gave us complete creative freedom over design and development, and asked us to take charge of most of the copywriting.
How we did it
Framework first, then the build
01
Requirements
Agree what the site must do: easy navigation, modern design, every service clearly shown, mobile and tablet friendly.
02
Framework for approval
We produced a site framework for Excel to sign off before building, so the build followed what the client had agreed.
03
Content
Excel's imagery was gathered and we wrote the copy for each service page.
04
Design tweaks
Layout and colour were refined so each service was clearly displayed and easy to enquire about.
05
Finishing touches
The site launched secure and fully responsive.
What we built
A brochure website with a page for every service
- One page per service: each service has its own page, the structure that helps a business rank for specific service keywords.
- Copywriting by Vimana: we took time to understand the business and wrote the service content with an SEO perspective, so the pages are discoverable as well as readable.
- Client-supplied imagery: Excel provided the visuals. High-quality imagery is essential on a new site, and we will not accept subpar visuals.
- Brand-matched palette: colours mirror the Excel logo and vehicle colours.
- Responsive, interactive layout: readable on every screen, with transparent service information and easy enquiry routes.
- Built to last: designed to minimise the need for significant future modifications or updates.

Responsive experience
Clear on every screen
Extremely happy with our new website which has recently been built by Amit at Vimana Digital. Amit is very knowledgeable and has been very patient with us, responding quickly to any changes we have asked for (and there has been a lot of changes!). Will continue to use Amit and would highly recommend to anyone looking for website design/changes, SEO, Google ranking help, ads and all the rest of it!
The outcome
The outcome

Not covered here? Call and ask. We reply within 24 hours.
Should a manufacturing website have one services page or one page per service?
One page per service, in most cases. A single list cannot target each service term, and it forces customers to scan for the line that applies to them. On the Excel Process Systems site every service has its own page, which supports search visibility and makes it easy for customers to enquire about the right thing.
Can you write the website copy for an engineering company?
Yes, and we wrote most of it for Excel. We take time to understand your business and services, then write content specific to what you offer, with an SEO perspective from the first draft. Many clients struggle to find time to write fresh content themselves, which is exactly where copywriting support helps.
How much does a website cost for a manufacturing business?
Small business websites start from around £1,000; medium to large sites typically fall between £3,000 and £6,000. Prices exclude VAT. Straightforward builds take one to three weeks once content is agreed, and bespoke work usually four to eight. We confirm the price once we know how many services and pages you need.
