Local SEO Services That Get You Into Google Maps and "Near Me" Results
Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and genuinely local pages, run by an agency whose own profile is 5.0 from 50 Google reviews and whose own pages rank for the searches it sells.
Local SEO is the work of making a business appear in Google's map results and local organic listings for searches like "optician near me" or "accountant Derby". Vimana Digital's local SEO services start from £400 a month, cover Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and local pages, and usually show movement within one to three months.

How does Google decide who shows in the map pack?
Google says local results are ranked on three things: relevance, distance and prominence, and adds that "there's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google" (Google Business Profile Help). That rules out most of what cheap local SEO packages promise. What's left is measurable work on the signals Google actually weighs.
Whitespark's Local Search Ranking Factors survey (47 local SEO practitioners scoring 187 factors, November 2025) puts numbers on them. The top map-pack factors, with their scores:
Rank
Factor
Score
What it means for you
1
Primary Google Business Profile category
227
The single biggest lever. One wrong category and you're competing in the wrong race
2
Proximity of the searcher to your address
225
You cannot change this. A business in Long Eaton will not win the Nottingham city-centre map pack, and neither will we for you
3
Keywords in the business title
223
Only if it's your real trading name. Stuffing "Plumber Derby" into the name breaches Google's rules and gets profiles suspended
4
Physical address in the city searched
213
A real office, not a virtual one. Google treats virtual-office addresses as a representation breach
5
Business open at time of search (new entry)
189
Accurate hours now move rankings. "Open 24 hours" when you're not is a quick route to a suspension
6
High numerical rating (4–5 stars)
181
Review signals rose for the fifth survey in a row
7
Address visible on the profile
176
Service-area businesses that hide their address rank lower
8
Additional profile categories
173
One per real service line; no padding
9
Quantity of native Google reviews
170
Count still matters; recency matters more than it did (see below)
Three more findings decide where your budget goes. Eight of the top ten map-pack factors are profile fields, so month one goes there. Citations (directory listings) fell to about 6% of map-pack weight, so we stop at the ones that matter. And in localised organic results the top factor is "a dedicated page for each service", which is why we build real service pages rather than one "areas we cover" list.
Why reviews are now a ranking factor and a conversion factor
BrightLocal's Local Consumer Review Survey (1,002 adults, February 2026) found:
41% of consumers now "always" read reviews before choosing a local business, up from 29% the year before
31% will only use a business rated 4.5 stars or higher, nearly double the 17% in 2025
74% only trust reviews from the last three months, and about a third only from the last two weeks
47% won't use a business with fewer than 20 reviews
80% are more likely to choose a business that replies to every review, but half are put off by templated replies
Google's share as a review source fell from 83% to 71%, and ChatGPT is now the third most-used source for local recommendations
Our own profile is the worked example: 5.0 from 50 Google reviews, four of them within the last month, every one answered individually. That clears every threshold above. We'll build the same into your business:
Two asking pointsAt go-live, when the client is happiest, and around 90 days later when results are visible; reviews that mention results persuade most.
Natural detail, never scriptsWe ask clients to say what was done and where they're based. We never dictate wording or offer anything for a review; both breach Google's policy and the CAP Code.
Reply to everything within daysMentioning the actual job. Templated replies cost you half your readers.
Beyond GoogleA handful of reviews mirrored to one or two other platforms, with your name, address and phone number consistent across all of them.

How much does local SEO cost?
Local SEO with Vimana Digital starts from £400 a month, which UK pricing guides describe as the "sweet spot" for a small business; anything from £150–£400 is usually automated, templated work (Whitehat SEO, 2026). For a single-location business, £400 buys the full list in Section 5, delivered by the person you speak to, with a monthly report you can read in five minutes.
Multi-location businesses, or those in crowded categories like solicitors, dentists or estate agents, usually need £600–£1,200 a month to cover more pages, more profiles and more review management. We'll show you the split before you decide. All prices exclude VAT.
Timeline: profile changes can move rankings within weeks; a typical campaign shows measurable movement in one to three months. No contract ties you in: it's rolling monthly with one month's notice.

Multiple offices, service-area businesses and regulated sectors
More than one officeEach real office gets its own profile and its own substantial page. Copying one page and swapping the town name gives Google nothing to rank. Solicitors and clinics with several branches: see SEO for solicitors for the compliance side.
No premises (mobile trades, cleaners, consultants)You can still have a profile as a service-area business; the trade-off is that hidden addresses rank lower (factor #7 above). We'll be honest about what's achievable.

Where we work
From The Long Eaton Hub, serving businesses across the UK.
Profile changes such as fixing categories and hours can move map rankings within a few weeks. A full campaign usually shows measurable improvement within one to three months. New businesses with no reviews take longer than established ones. We report monthly so you can see movement early and stop if there isn't any.
How many Google reviews do I need to rank?
There's no fixed number, but consumer behaviour sets a floor: 47% of people won't use a business with fewer than 20 reviews and 31% insist on 4.5 stars or higher (BrightLocal, 2026). Aim for 20 as a first milestone, then a steady two or three a month, since recency now matters more than total count.
Do citations still matter for local SEO?
Less than they did. Whitespark's 2026 survey puts citations at roughly 6% of map-pack ranking weight, down again on previous years. Consistent name, address and phone details across the main directories still matter, and mentions on relevant local sites now help AI search visibility. We stop at the ones that count.
Can I rank in a city where I don't have an office?
Not in the map pack, realistically. Proximity is the second-strongest ranking factor and a physical address in the searched city is fourth (Whitespark, 2026). You can rank in the organic results below the map with a genuinely useful page for that area, which is what we build instead of a fake address.
What is Google Business Profile optimisation?
It's the work of making your free Google listing complete, accurate and aligned with what people search for: correct primary and secondary categories, services, hours, photos, products, Q&A, posts and review replies. Eight of the top ten map-pack ranking factors are profile fields, so it's where every local campaign starts.
Is it against the rules to offer a discount for a review?
Yes. Google's review policy prohibits incentivising reviews in any form, and UK advertising rules treat paid-for feedback as misleading. Profiles caught doing it can have reviews removed or be suspended. We ask every client for reviews at the right moment and never offer anything in return.
My Google Business Profile has been suspended. Can you help?
Usually, yes. Most suspensions come from a category or name that breaches Google's guidelines, a virtual-office address, or a sudden burst of edits. We identify the cause, correct it, gather the evidence Google asks for and submit the reinstatement request. We can't promise a timescale; Google controls that.
Does local SEO work for a service-area business with no shop?
Yes, with a trade-off. You can set a service area instead of showing an address, and still rank for nearby searches. Profiles with a visible address do rank higher (Whitespark, 2026), so expect to compete harder on reviews, services and page content. We'll tell you what's realistic before you spend.
