What's included in a Vimana WordPress website
WordPress is one of three platforms we offer under our web design services. When it's the right fit, here's what the build includes:

- A design made for your businessNot a theme bought off a marketplace with your logo dropped in. To confirm: confirm whether Vimana builds custom themes or configures a base theme/page builder
- Pages you can edit The editor is set up around what you'll actually changetext, images, prices, opening hours, team members, menus.
- SEO foundations built inclean URLs, editable titles and metadata, schema markup, XML sitemap, image optimisation and sensible heading structure from day one.
- Mobile-first layoutstested on real phones, with images served in WebP and lazy-loaded so pages stay fast.
- Forms that reach youWith spam protection and email deliverability set up properly, plus SSL at no charge and analytics connected before launch.
- User roles and trainingSo staff can update the blog without being able to break the home page.
- Copywriting and photographyas optional line items if you'd rather not supply them. See our photography service.
Is WordPress the right platform for your website?
WordPress runs roughly 40% of all websites (W3Techs, October 2026). Being common doesn't make it right for every job, so here's how we decide:

| Your situation | Our usual recommendation | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Brochure or service website you want to edit yourself | WordPress | Doors Doors Doors, Nexsis Comms |
| Personal brand or consultancy with regular new content | WordPress | Andrew Parker Art |
| Tight deadline, content ready, simple structure | WordPress | PT54 Personal Training, built in three days |
| Small shop or paid bookings with standard checkout | WordPress with WooCommerce | Serendipity Training, Unique Sculpt |
| Large catalogue, trade pricing, code-based search | Bespoke build | See ecommerce web design |
| Portal, calculator, custom admin or heavy integrations | Bespoke PHP, Laravel or Next.js | Ready Steady Drive booking CMS; see web development |
| An SEO strategy that will keep adding specialist pages for years | Either; depends on the roadmap | Bradgate Financial Solutions, rebuilt in bespoke PHP rather than on a theme |
The Bradgate example matters. As the SEO strategy grew, we rebuilt the site as a bespoke PHP platform instead of around WordPress or an off-the-shelf theme, because that gave us more room. We'd rather say that here than pretend WordPress is always the answer. For framework detail see Laravel development.

Fewer plugins, faster pages, fewer 3am problems
A plugin is a bolt-on that adds a feature to WordPress. They're the reason WordPress is popular, and where most WordPress security and speed problems start.
91%
91% of WordPress vulnerabilities are in plugins
Patchstack logged 11,334 new vulnerabilities across the WordPress ecosystem in 2025, up 42% on the year before: 91% in plugins, 9% in themes and only six low-priority issues in WordPress itself (Patchstack, February 2026). Every plugin you don't install is a door you don't have to guard.
46%
46% had no patch when disclosed
Nearly half of those vulnerabilities were public before a fix existed. A site running twenty plugins from twenty authors has twenty update schedules to watch; a site running five has five.
We code core features ourselves
Forms, sliders, galleries, accessibility tools and booking features are often lighter and safer written for your site than installed as a plugin. For Notts County Foundation we coded the accessibility suite rather than renting an overlay.
2.5 seconds
We build to pass Google's Core Web Vitals
The main content visible within 2.5 seconds, a response to every tap inside 200 milliseconds, and no layout shift as the page loads. Google says these measures are "used by our ranking systems". Page-builder bloat is a common reason WordPress sites fail them.
Cookie consent set up for 2026
The ICO updated its cookie guidance on 29 April 2026; your banner is configured around what the site actually uses, not a plugin default.
Every build passes our website testing and QA checklist before it goes live.
WordPress SEO: set up on day one, grown after launch
WordPress is SEO-friendly only if someone makes it so. Out of the box it ships duplicate archive pages, generic titles and oversized images. Our set-up covers:

- One clear page per service, each with its own title, meta description and heading structure
- Schema markup for your organisation, services, FAQs and reviews
- Location pages for the areas you serve, as built for Doors Doors Doors
- Redirects mapped if you're replacing an older site, through our website migration SEO process
After launch, SEO and local SEO campaigns build on that base. One client wrote: "making sure it was optimised properly for Google and search engines… We’ve already seen the benefits of the SEO work, with improved Google visibility" (Frankie, Google review).

What clients say about working with us

"Amit has been really helpful with the design of my website; he has lots of patience ; as I am not the most tech savvy person. Time has been taken to understand my customers needs and what my training business is all about; highly recommend."
Marie Martin"I had built a website but the theme had broken and it was due to go live in 48hrs. Amit met up with me on a Saturday morning and dissected the issues… Within 3 days the website was built, content and media added and my booking calendar integrated onto pt54.fitness and it was live."
Paul Thompson"Amit is very knowledgeable, miles ahead of all the other marketing companies that we have worked with previously, and much more professional and down-to-earth. No sales jargon, or pushiness, and very reasonable pricing."

How much does a WordPress website cost in the UK?
Most UK agencies charge £1,500–£5,000 for a small WordPress business site, with some starting at £4,000. Vimana Digital's WordPress websites start from around £1,000, with larger multi-page or multi-location sites at £3,000–£6,000. The quote lists every page, feature and any premium plugin licence, so there are no surprises.
How long does a WordPress website take to build?
Straightforward WordPress websites are usually live within one to three weeks once content is agreed. We rebuilt PT54's site, including a booking calendar, in three days against a launch deadline. Sites with many pages, a shop or a lot of copywriting take longer, mostly because content takes time to gather.
Is WordPress secure enough for a business website?
Yes, if it's built and maintained properly. Patchstack recorded 11,334 WordPress-ecosystem vulnerabilities in 2025, but 91% were in plugins and only six, all low priority, in WordPress itself. We keep plugin counts low, code core features ourselves, and keep everything updated through our website management service.
Can I update a WordPress website myself?
Yes. That's the main reason to choose WordPress. We set up the editor around what you'll actually change, add user roles so staff can't break the layout, and train you at handover. Several clients who describe themselves as "not tech-savvy" run their own sites day to day.
WordPress or Wix and Squarespace: which is better for a small business?
WordPress gives you a site you own, can move between hosts, and can extend with custom features and proper SEO structure. Wix and Squarespace are quicker to start but rent you the platform, limit control over URLs and schema, and are harder to migrate from later without losing rankings.
Should my website be WordPress or custom-built?
WordPress suits brochure, service and content-led sites you'll edit yourself, and small shops. A bespoke build makes sense for portals, calculators, trade pricing, large catalogues or heavy integrations. We build both and recommend around the project; Bradgate Financial Solutions was rebuilt in bespoke PHP rather than on a theme when its SEO strategy needed more room.
Do you use a page builder or build a custom theme?
We keep whatever we use lean, because page-builder bloat is a common reason WordPress sites fail Google's Core Web Vitals. The answer will be stated plainly in your quote.
Do I own my WordPress website?
Yes. WordPress is open-source, the domain is in your name, you get administrator access, and the design and code are yours on final payment. If you ever move hosting or agency, you take the whole site, database and files with you.
